Day 1: Assisi – Arrival

Arrive in beautiful Assisi, Italy. We meet you at the train station followed by a short transfer to center of Assisi.

(Private transfer from Rome, Milan and Florence available on request)

Our hotel located is located just a few steps of the basilica di S. Francesco (Saint Francis). Named after the saint born in 1280.
Saint Francis renounced his father’s wealth to become a priest. He was canonized two years after his death in 1228, by the Pope Gregorio IX.
After check-in, time to rest or explore before our welcome dinner.
We recommend a leisurely sight seeing stroll in historical centre.

Day 2: Assisi - Montefalco - Assisi

In the morning bikes and van will meet you at Hotel San Pietro for your custom bike fitting.
Choose between road bike, mountain bike or hybrid (men’s or women’s frame are available).
Route briefing and we are on our way leaving Assisi on bikes.
We arrive in Montefalco for lunch and some sightseeing.
At lunch we enjoy top local wines complemented by the perfect cheese.

Day 3: Assisi - Gubbio

Departing Assisi we ride towards Pianello, a small charming town. It's worth a stop for a coffee break and a stroll around the ruins, city gates and thermal baths.
Free night for dinner.

Day 4: Gubbio – Perugia

After breakfast back on our bikes for a ride from Gubbio passing the Roman theatre and medieval walls.
Today an early lunch in the town of Umbertide.
We end our ride in Perugia, by far Umbria’s most important city.
After a day of cycling take time to stroll the romantic streets of this renaissance gem.

Day 5: Perugia – Paciano- Castiglione del Lago

Start with a good breakfast and grab your bike as today we discover the rolling hills surrounding Perugia.
This area is also famous for its’ olive oil and we include an informal tasting.
If chocolate is more you thing visit the chocolate museum located on the outskirts of town.
Your lunch today will be held at a small town called Paciano.
At lunch enjoy a spectacular view of Lake Trasimeno.
Here you can also enjoy a swim in the lake after your ride.

Day 6: Castiglione del Lago – Magione – Castiglione del Lago

Today a loop around the beautiful Lake Trasimeno.
Close to the town Tuoro you ride beneath the same hills where Hannibal’s army staged one of the most famous ambushes in military history.
This is the exact site where Hannibal and his men completely destroyed the Roman Empire’s army. But no worries, your ride will be safe.
Lunch in Torricella with tremendous view out of the lake.
Tonight join us for our farewell feast and award ceremony…a memorable night of fun.

Day 7: Departure 

A.M. check-out.
Easy transfers to Rome or Florence by train or bus (not included)
Private transfers by van (up to 6 passengers) available for an additional charge. Enquire at time of booking.
